Winter Market at the Lake

In the old days, everything shut down at the lake in the winter…restaurants, resorts, stores, and even the real estate market. The thought that real estate drastically slows or is nonexistent is still prevalent in the mind of some buyers. Is this true or just a myth?

Between November 2012 – March 2013:
Waterfront Residential Sales – There were 149 Sales with an Average Price of $294,312, that is 23% of 2012 Total Waterfront Residential Home Sales!
Condominium Sales – There were 110 Sales with an Average Price of $155,695, that is 21% of 2012 Total Condominium Sales!

Based on information from the Association of REALTORS® (alternatively, from the Bagnell Dam Association of REALTORS® MLS and Lake of the Ozarks Board of REALTORS® MLS) for the period 1/1/12 – 3/1/13.  Neither the Board or its MLS guarantees or is in any way responsible for its accuracy.  Data maintained by the Board or its MLS may not reflect all real estate activity in the market.
